About the Mashru 

The word Mashru, meaning ‘Permitted’ in Arabic, refers to a specific blend of silk and cotton that is originated in the Deccan region during the 19th century. Historically, it was woven so that the inner side touching the skin was cotton (comfortable and religiously permissible), while the outer side was shimmering silk, gives a luxurious finish
